Nice cosy place with very attentive and friendly staff, that went the extra mile to break down language barriers and put together a nice breakfast for us.

The breakfast was delicious, the staff attentive and friendly. We were able to sit outside on the pleasant, unexcited Adenauerplatz - very nice! Small minus point: we had to pay 3 x surcharges for "extra services" (2 x for the wish to get cheese instead of salami, 1 x for a slice of wholemeal bread). I think it's pretty petty! Nevertheless: the positive impression prevails.

The premises are special. However, when it opened at 10:00, the place was relatively dirty (the floor). The breakfast was delicious & something different compared to the normal breakfast.

Just forgot to order food and let us wait 55 minutes. Doesn't work at all. Not even deserved 1 star

The dishes are inventive and varied, mostly delicious and worth their price. Before the cappuccino, however, you have to be explicitly warned - this is milk coffee with "construction foam" on top, miles away from a cappuccino Italiano.

Chocolate cake and latte tasted excellent

I was at Cafe Kontor on March 12, 2020 for the first reading. It won't be the last. I can recommend the chocolate cake with and without cream and the coffee too. Finally, a glass of red wine rounded off the friendly and casual atmosphere. Owner, waitress and author very friendly. Stay healthy. I'll be back.

Pretty little café in a renovated Wilhelminian style house on Adenauerplatz. The spruce of beautiful cafés is not particularly high in Mönchengladbach. It is all the more delighted to see this pretty café on Adenauerplatz, a few minutes from the main shopping street. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere cozy, which is also due to the nice dishes. There are not too many seats, but you can sit very comfortably in a quiet environment. We had raspberry cake with almond base, which was excellent, with milk coffee and latte macchiato. The chocolate cake also looked good, but unfortunately didn't fit in anymore. The coffee was quite hot, but not too hot to my taste. The breakfast menu looks promising, which will be tried next. Surely you can sit outside very nicely in summer. Overall a nice afternoon, it won't be the last visit!

In short: insider tip Very friendly and personable staff. Immediately upon entering, a hospitable cosiness spreads immediately. The music whispers quietly in the background so that you can have a normal conversation. The menu is small but quality is important. And everything is delicious! If you haven't been here before, you should definitely have a look!

We were there with a closed company. It was really nice. Great food. There is even vegan food here. We would like to come again!

We met there with the Niederrheinische Presseverein. Good food, perfect service, friendly atmosphere. Also for private companies and conferences first choice, especially since very centrally located.

It is also friendlier. If you reserve 3 of 4 tables and then try to squeeze other guests to a table, something goes wrong. Breakfast goes like this. Visit is not worth it, since the probability is high to get no place. The best was the statement, it is full-bodied today it will take longer with the order. We were there twice.
